Opening Night

The Copper is now open… our new Cultural Arts and Educational Center in North Miami.

After years in the making, we were honored to share this historic Opening Night amongst so many supporters of our mission and newcomers from our community.

The City of North Miami announced that December 4 has been officially declared as Copperbridge Foundation Cultural Educational Center Day!

Copperbridge received a Proclamation of Honor from the City of North Miami and Florida Senator Shevrin Jones, as well a Certificate of Appreciation from American Institute of Architects Miami, and generous support from North Miami CRA.

Located in North Miami, "The Copper" is a hub for a diverse range of educational workshops spanning dance, music, film, fine arts, architecture, literature, and storytelling.

Inspired by the history of the building and the community, The Copper is a versatile space powered by the creativity of local artists and evolving with each new idea and collaboration.

The outdoor area has performed as a stage, a cinema, and canvas for animated art.
Inside, there is a communal nucleus spanning the length of the building that has become an ever-growing table of architects and artists making plans, blueprints, and sketches for what is next to come.
Equipped with several rooms, a communal kitchen, two bathrooms, and a network of creatives, The Copper offers gallery space, shared and private offices.

Next door at the Caridad building, part of The Copper Complex, we also have an Artists in Residency program. .. and don’t forget about Casa Fe down the street!

Please contact us if you are interested in more info.
We look forward to showing you around The Copper!

Currently on exhibit:

SAY IT LOUD Exhibition, featuring Diverse Designers of Florida, presented by The National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) in collaboration with the American Institute of Architects (AIA Miami) and Black Architects in the Making (BAM). This showcase highlights the incredible talent and diversity within the design community.

"Made in NoMi" featuring two internationally acclaimed artists living in North Miami, Noel Morera and Jose Mora. This exhibition offers a unique insight into their artistic journeys and creative expressions.

Promoting cultural and educational exchange through the medium of artistic expression.

  • Friday night at exhibit opening at The Copper was very well received. Many in attendance were deeply moved by the fascinating—and sometimes misunderstood—art of outsider artists. The exhibit, titled “No Seasoning,” curated by Elvia Rosa Castro, features seven Afro-Cuban descendant artists and touches on sensitive issues associate with these artists . We look forward to future programming during the exhibit’s run, which will continue over the next several weeks.

Friday night at exhibit opening at The Copper was very well received.
