Rosa Lowinger is president of RLA Conservation, Inc., an L.A. firm that provides materials conservation services for buildings, monuments, and sculpture. A Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation, the Association for Preservation Technology and the American Academy in Rome, she holds an M.A. in art history and conservation from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts. Rosa co-curated the exhibits Concrete Paradise: Miami Marine Stadium at the Coral Gables Museum and Promising Paradise: Cuban Allure, American Seduction at the Wolfsonian at Florida International University. She is the author of numerous works of fiction and non-fiction dealing with built heritage and is most well known for the nonfiction book Tropicana Nights: The Life and Times of the Legendary Cuban Nightclub.
