Ria Carr was born in Suriname, raised in New York and Puerto Rico and currently lives in Miami, FL. The “Art In Nature” exhibitions place art within those spaces of nature, the trees, foliage, grass, shrubs, flower beds or rocks. Outdoor light and shadows play with the values of color and shapes and hold you in that moment to observe and connect with nature. This observation and connection with nature sparks a new narrative, a conversation, and creative work. She is an artist and part of her practice is to collaborate with artists for inspiration as well as inspiring them to create new bodies of work in nature.
