The Hotel Provincial together with the Casino is part of a large complex designed in the late 1930´s that combines geometric Louis XIII facades with monumental interiors that combine art deco with classicism. The whole multifunctional compound is made of amazing structures in reinforced concrete with beams and slabs of more than thirty meters. The interior decoration was designed by famed French designer Jean Michel Frank together with local decoration firm Casa Comte. Exterior and interior spaces in close relation with the sea and the sky transmit both calm and unease, a sort of huge De Chirico set for an Argentine movie of the Gilded Age.
