Manual labor is part every moment of my creative process. I have tried to demonstrate the similarity for me between artist and builder. The builder, who performs physical labor in his work, the imperative medium of his work, is a true creator. In that sense, I consider myself a builder of art, and in the best case, I work as a builder of images, because the builder must face the daily chores of creation and action in order to construct. For this reason I think I’m really an art workman, or a builder of artworks. Perhaps this is a legacy bequeathed by my culture in which the spirit of building has always been present.
