Am I restricted in what I can bring back from Cuba to the US?

You may purchase merchandise to be brought back to the USA within the $400 limit. This limit does not apply to art, books, tapes, CDs, photographs, posters, paintings, sculpture etc. which are considered “informational materials”.  Although you can bring as much informational material back to the United States as you want to, you may still be subject to the duty that is generally levied on any books exceeding the value of $800.
