How much money should I bring?

 In

This is always a hard question to answer since it depends on what you are planning to buy!  We recommend an average of $100/day per person.  Remember that it is better to have a little too much than to run out of money.   If you are planning to buy artwork, you may want to bring more. See below.

Things to keep in mind:

Lunches and dinners average from $15-$40 for a good meal.

Taxis in Havana rarely cost more than $5-$10.

The Tropicana show costs $75

You can buy original art in Cuba for amounts ranging from $5 to $100,000 (You will be able to pay a deposit and arrange the rest of the payment and retrieval of art once you are back at home in the U.S.  Please contact Joelle@copperbridge.org for more information about this.)

Tipping is usually 10%-15% in restaurants

A minimal tip has been included for your driver and guide.  If you wish to tip more, please feel free to do so at the end of your trip.
