Marcel Márquez

    Marcel Márquez, aka MINImax Vj, (1985) Havana, Cuba. He lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina since 2019 and shares a residence with his hometown. He graduated from the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts (2006) and from the Cátedra Arte de Conducta (2007), in Cuba. In Buenos Aires he completed a Diploma in Art and Robotics at the University of the Argentine Social Museum (UMSA) and the Lic Artes Multimediales (20229 from the University of Palermo (UP) with Summa Cume Laure distinction. His work has been shown in Cuba at the Museum National Museum of Fine Arts, the Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Center, the Center for the Development of Visual Arts, among others.In Buenos Aires, he has been part of the Art exhibition programmed at the Rojas, in the Espacio Cabrera the exhibitions Yoear and Transitar between order and desire and inaugurated the XV World Congress of Art Deco with a video intervention.Known for his Architectural mapping videos in Cuba with dozens of interventions in Buenos Aires, he continues his practice where he intervened the Safico Building, the Church of San Judas Tadeo, the Faculty of Law of the UBA and the Military College of the Nation.
