Vélez has been invited to the Panama Biennial (2002, 2005,2008) and numerous international biennials, including Venice (2011 and 2013), Shanghai (2004), Havana (2003, 2012 and 2019), Art Biennial Paiz in Guatemala (2018), Cuenca (2009), Montevideo (2012 and 2014), Ireland (2014), Liverpool (2006), among many other international exhibitions.
