Alicia Lapenta

    Architect, Postgraduates in Argentina and Cuba. Member of ICOMOS (International Council of Monuments and Sites). In Panama, she designed the Ethno-ecological Tourism Corridor for the Emberá Waunam, Naso Teribe and Kuna Yala ethnic groups, linking the Darien Integral Development Plan, and the indigenous regions mentioned, for the Kuna Foundation, Dobbo Yala. In Cuba, she worked on the Master Plan of Old Havana’s San Isidro neighborhood, making the registration system for the Popular Traditional Culture, belief systems, groups, and heritage people. She has won numerous awards and distinctions both as an individual and as a leader of teams. She has publications in Argentina, Cuba, and Mexico. Currently, in her country, she directs and coordinates audiovisual projects of a Popular Culture project “Our People” and from UNICEN, a multidisciplinary program that registers the cultural ecosystem of the Municipality of Azul.
