Kathleen Murphy Skolnik is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Art at Roosevelt University in Chicago where she teaches art and architectural history. She is the co-author of The Art Deco Murals of Hildreth Meière (2014), the editor of the English translation of Havana Art Deco. Architectural Guide by María Elena Martín Zequeira (2015), and a contributor to Art Deco Chicago: The Making of Modern American Culture (2017). She was the editor of the Chicago Art Deco Society Magazine from 2009 through 2016 and editorial consultant to Art Deco New York, the publication of the Art Deco Society of New York launched in 2016. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Art Deco Society of New York and on the Board of Directors of the International Hildreth Meière Association.
