Meme has traveled intensely and has embedded these experiences into creating overlapping realities in her artwork. The colors of the Caribbean and the mysticism of India are expressed through her abstracted realities. Her life later followed the circuitous route of her ancestry from Miami to Cuba and Venezuela and back to Puerto Rico. It is in the verdant green Puerto Rican mountain range that the essence of the tropical American percussion is expressed in her artwork through the vivid colors and tropical surrealist abstracted scenes.
