Copperbridge Foundation connects communities across Miami and the wider Americas through visual art, architecture, dance, and cultural exchange. Since 2010, we've produced exhibitions, artist residencies, cultural travel programs, and free community education — creating space where heritage is preserved, new work is made, and neighbors from different backgrounds share a room.
Rooted in North Miami and grounded in the region's Art Deco and modernist architecture, our work spans generations and geographies — from artist residencies across the Americas to contemporary installations built one found object at a time at The Copper, our cultural arts and educational center.

Brooms caress the Earth
In Brazil, terra and Earth are the same word. Brooms are a connection of the body with the ground — a tool that touches the body of the Earth, and the bodies of beings. They are instruments of renewal, reverence, and healing.
For twenty-five years, Monica Carvalho has made art from natural materials gathered across Brazil's six biomes, sustainably collected with her collaborators. Through research and creative practice, she revives and reinterprets ancestral knowledge, honoring the biodiversity of each territory.
Plastic Reef
Plastic Reef & On the Move
Plastic Reef assembles thousands of small plastic objects — toys, tools, packaging — into a coral reef bursting with color: a portrait of the ocean built from the very material that threatens it.
In its companion installation, On the Move, life-size figures crafted from recycled suitcases and clothing explore migration, identity, and the tenacity of the human spirit.

- No Seasoning (Feb. 27 – May 23) — curated by Elvia Rosa Castro, drawn entirely from the NAEMI Collection (National Art Exhibitions of the Mentally Ill). The show brought together seven Afro-Cuban descendant artists working outside academic training and commercial art markets. Bringing forth the Cuban nature of creation through their work, the program embraced resilience, perseverance, and no boundaries — moving from personal expression to civic and mental health awareness, in Cuba and globally, and bringing these narratives into our own community.
